Basic Regatta Notes
15 boats competed at the first ECFS regatta in Rochester, with many camping and enjoying the fire pit. We started things off Friday night with Grill Night dinner for our guests and members. 5 races were completed on Saturday in beautiful up and down south breeze on Lake Ontario. Mechanical malfunctions kept the fleet on Irondequoit Bay for Sunday, and 3 more sporty races were run in westerly wind. The fleet returned to shore safely before a brief storm came through. Delicious turkey soup, corn chowder, and sandwiches (made with Saturday leftovers to reduce food waste) were served before awards. Congratulations to the Adams Family for earning the win in convincing fashion. Thank you everyone for a delightful weekend!
