  • Secretary’s Report: Dianne Duckworth
    1. Membership: July 2023: 577; August 2023: 586 (+9)
    2. Will have the National Trophy list to Woodbury Pewter by October 6th
  • Treasurer’s Report: Sarah Paisley
    1. August 2023 P&L: Total Income 5,404.00, Total Expenses $3,603.79, Net Income $1,800.21
    2. 2023 to August 2023 P&L 2023: Total Income $68,901.23, Total Expenses $41,583.10, Net Income $27,318.13
  • First VP’s Report: Nicole Shedden
    1. Nationals
      1. 2023
        • Sent Dianne the keeper trophy order sheet
        • Will be presenting Minton to Greiner in person at LEFS Fall Blowout regatta
      2. 2024 Tom’s River
        • Mark Foster will be PRO
        • They’d like to cap at 85, first come, first served. They can probably accommodate more but would like to start at 85 before reevaluating. Is this okay? (Yes)
        • The head judge says there are 3-4 local judges who fit the “no appeal exemption” requirement for the qualifying series; are we okay with a panel of all-local judges? (Yes)
        • NRC Chair Chris Murphy would like to explore the option of having an 8th race based on venue logistics; this could be a trial. (Duration/races Committee hopes to have a recommendation in November)
  • Transferring work until this point to Warren 2025 and beyond
    • Created a reference spreadsheet with PROs and judges we’ve had for prior Nationals, MWE and MWW
    • Wayne Pignolet will be the TCA Representative for MWW; will help with NOR, SIs and PRO appointment
    • MWE-Carl Schellbach will be PRO for MWE and OP. Carl worked with Mark Foster at Jax Nationals and has been running all the big FYC events
  1. Transitional work
    1. Asked RVPs (minus PC rep) if they’re interested in continuing in their role Koschalk and Glenn continuing; Dryden discussing with Lischer; talking to Jenny about Phil for PC
    2. Created a trophy responsibilities doc to pass to Warren and save on TCA Google Drive
  • Asking ExCom members to schedule a transition meeting with the person who’s taking your position
  • Second VP’s Report: Warren Duckworth
    1. Google Groups: Members- 565 (+4)
    2. Website:
      1. Inshore Marketing is dropping us as a client due to change in business strategy. Met with Inshore for our next step for me to pursue.
      2. Likely done by first quarter of ‘24
    3. Bagpipe:
      1. /Nov. Issue at the printers
      2. 1st deadline for articles
  • Third VP’s Report: Aaron Holland
    1. Working on bringing back Social Media Teams
    2. Working on the 2024 Under 26 Free Membership Proposal
    3. Working on a G&P strategy review
    4. Working on a practical guide for key events
  • Chief Measurer: Wayne Pignolet
    1. Issued three CMRs
      1. Clarified “While Racing”
      2. Clarified Mounting for Crew Hiking Line
  • Added a CMR for CB shims that will come out in the next Bagpipe
  1. Will need variances for:
    • Craig Koschalk- sails
    • JD Reddaway for reefing patch variation
  • Past President’s Report: Tom Hubbell: No report
  • President: John Howell
    1. Paul Cone’s Yacht Club won the G&P and reported that there is no more space for a 2023 plaque. ExCom approved $150.00 for a new base for trophy and a storage box.
    2. The PNW Molds- John put a committee together to evaluate the molds and decide what can be done with the molds. Committee: Paul Cone, Chris Pollack, Chris Murphy, Larry Liggett, and John Howell
    3. John is working on the grant program initiative for the Strategic Plan. Working with Matt Fisher on program/one boat has been donated with a potential buyer
    4. John is sending Ashli Slawter the feedback from Thistle Class on the 2023 Nationals
    5. Wayne Pignolet is the TCA Representative for the MWW/Possibly Tommy Glenn for liaison for MWE
    6. Ask Jesse Shedden to work on a standardize Sailing Instructions (SI) for all chevron events
