      1. MWW & MWE – seem to have everything under control.
        1. Vakaros implementation is an issue of much discussion, they are taking two slightly different approaches with implications for costs.
          1. Vakaros back-end – MWW using San Diego YC, MWE renting ($500) from Florida YC
          2. MWW has 20 loaner units, socializing cost over all competitors who need compassing.  MWE $175 per day for rental from Vakaros.
          3. Concerns of mounts and helping competitors correctly locate compasses in the boat.
        2. This will need to be discussed in an ExCom Meeting
      2. Nationals 2026 – heard from Marty, he says everything is under control and will keep me updated.  I’ll try to have a touch base call after the New Year.  Looking for advice from ExCom on things he might be missing? See Key Event Management Plan.

    1. Digital Race Management Committee
      1. I sent an email to members for the purpose of scheduling a meeting. Heard back from one member, waiting on the other two. Will send a reminder email this week.
      2. I sent everyone the charter and the results of the GB meeting regarding the temporary ruling.
    2. Official Measurement Certificate
  1. i)  Received an inquiry regarding an inconsistency between the building plans and the

    measurement form, from a member.

  1. ii) The issue is the published tolerances of the half-breadths of the hull and the “B”   measurement on

the official measurement form. The “B” measurement is the maximum beam of the hull at station

     5’-6”, which is 5’-4 1/8” +/-  1/2”. The tolerances on the half-breadths is ½”. Since they are

half-breadths, the full tolerance across the hull would be 1”. In this case the measurement form

should also list the tolerance as 1” instead of ½”. That’s the question. I’m going over the plans and

measurement form and looking for history on this.

iii) Last minute addition: Do we have measurement forms in a database? I’d like to get a

sample of the “B” measurement from a cross-section of boats.

  1.   Does anyone care to comment on the history of the official measurement certificate? When was it

adopted? How were the measurements selected?
