Wet Your Thistle Regatta

Rules: The regatta shall be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), and the class rules of the THISTLE CLASS ASSOCIATION, except as any of these are altered by these sailing instructions. All participants must register.

Registration: Please email  Steve Lavender at lavender.1@osu.edu with subject “WYT” to let us know you are coming. Include your name, crew name(s) (if known) and boat number in the email. SIs will be sent to this list prior to the regatta. Print if you so desire. Registration will come to you for a check-in after you arrive.

Schedule of Events:

10:00-11:00 AM Rigging & Registration 11:00 AM Skippers Meeting in parking lot 11:45 AM Warning Signal Race 1

Races 2-7 to follow at the discretion of the Race Committee No races started after 15:45.

16:30 PM Beverages, Appetizers, etc. on the porch

16:45 PM Awards

Scoring: Boats will be scored using the Low-Point system of RRS Appendix A. All races are scored.

Radios: Radios may be used to hail competitors. Please monitor channel 71.

Fees: Food, beer, fees! $20 per boat. Please register at the clubhouse. Cash preferred, checks accepted (made to: Thistle Fleet 126).

Clean Regatta: This will be a clean regatta, unless you make a mess. Please don’t make a mess. Water bottles can be filled at the water fountain in the clubhouse.

Awards: Top 3 Finishers and top Junior Finisher.
