Notice of Race – May 18 & 19, 2024
Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club – Mt. Arlington, New Jersey – Fleet 36
Rules:
This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined by The Racing Rules of Sailing, the rules of the Thistle Class Association, this notice of race, and the sailing instructions. A protest committee will be appointed by Thistle Fleet 36 and the LHYC E-Scow fleet.
Eligibility and Entry:
Entry is open to all members of the Thistle Class Association who meet the eligibility requirements of the class rules.
Schedule of Events:
Saturday, May 18
0830 – Registration, Bagels and Coffee
1000 – Skippers Meeting
1100 – Warning Signal of Race 1 (additional races to follow)
1800 – Hors d’oeuvres, Dinner and Live Music
Sunday, May 19
0830 – Bagels and Coffee
1000 – Warning Signal (additional races to follow)
Awards Ceremony to follow races
Registration and Fees:
Entry fee is $50
Lunches available for purchase
Saturday Dinner for purchase
Sailing Instructions:
Sailing Instructions will be available at the Registration Table
Courses:
The courses will be detailed in the Sailing Instructions.
Disclaimer of Liability:
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
Insurance:
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.
Prizes:
Prizes for skipper and crew finishing in the top 3.

Courtyard by Marriott is 2.5 miles from LHYC and approximately 0.25 miles from NJ Transit Station.
No camping or pets are allowed at LHYC. All food and beverages on grounds must be purchased at the club.
