  1. Membership: June 535 and July 553 (+18)
  2. Fleets have been corrected. We have 54 active fleets
  3. Thank you’s are being sent to TRYC, Fleet 36, Carol Kitchin, and Mark Foster
• Treasurer’s Report: Sarah Paisley
  919. January to July P&L: Total Income- $70,919.60, Net Income- $36,518.49
  920. July 2024 Balance Sheet: Total Assets $106,653.26
  921. Working on a Venmo link for the Endowment Fund
• First VP’s Report: Warren Duckworth
  1. Blue Chevron Events
     1. PCCs are Sept. 14-15, 2024
     2. Need to touch base w/ RVP to see who wants to stay for 2025

• Need to start discussing 2025 Interdistricts with RVPs

1. Nationals 2024-Trophies
   1. The George Thomas Trophy R1 D2 is missing. I never received it from Conor Ruppen, and he does not remember receiving it at Flathead. His BP picture does not include the Thomas trophy.
   2. All other trophies are accounted for.

• Nicole suggested getting the mini hub cap trophies for championship 1^st – 5^th; she will look into options

1. Will work with Dianne on keeper trophy list and distribution.

      • NRC – Doug Kaukeinen, PRO – Mark Foster
      • Discussing potential NRC committee members with Doug

• 2027 North Cape Yacht Club, MI: Nicole will contact the NCYC contact

   1. MWW dates Feb 5 – 9 – advertisement is in this BP
      • Need to publish dates on GG, create page for website, create larger ad for BP
      • Liaison – Stan Smith. Will schedule meeting with liaison, RVP and ExCom rep
   2. MWE March 9 -12 at FWYC
      • Coach TCA on March 8 or Team Race? Will talk to Hubbell

  163. Nationals Raffle raised $163.00 for the G&P Fund
  164. 4 Youth Members used the U26 Regatta Reimbursement Program for Nationals
• Chief Measurer: Bob White
  1. Nationals 2024: Lloyd and Doug were helpful and had many people helping, went well. The wooden boat floatation looked good. Several manufactured rudders (i.e. not homemade) needed to be sanded
  2. Potential amendments:
     1. Reefed mains: Talking to sail makers. Material used for windows isn’t compatible with sail reefing. Need to see if reefs can be added to old mains. Would need ruling about not changing reef status during a race
     2. Floatation Amendment for Wooden Boats is ready to move forward
  3. CAD drawing put on hold, trying to make all the lines meet properly. Ollie Kunz working on 3D and Quinn Schwenker on 2D. Security of digital plans a big priority.
• Past President’s Report: John Howell

1. Endowment fund: No progress on acquiring a list of possible Professional Fund Manager. Hopes to have 3 firms by the next ExCom meeting.

• President’s Report: Nicole Shedden
  1. Nationals:
     1. Thanked the ExCom for their meeting preparation for the GB and Annual Meetings
     2. Pete Trophy for Race Management: Chris Murphy sent survey to skippers. Nicole will send GG message.

• Sail at districts is the qualifier: Will follow up with Doug Kitchin since he said he’d put together ideas

1. Peeing roundtable discussion was a success. Thanks to Jenny for helping lead. A woman who attended wrote an article for the Bagpipe
2. Going to work with Jess Murphy on getting some press for our Kids Camp

1. Heard concern about Nicole and Jenny leaving office (no female representation on ExCom). Will write BP article on how to get new people into leadership with the Alt DG position
2. Thank you to Scott Griffin for being the Amendment Chair.
3. Asked officers to prepare for a transition meeting for the new officers

• Old Business: None
• New Business: 
  1. Aaron: Recommend setting up a standing committee (4 people) to consistently evaluate Nationals (how things are run on and off the water) and report to the ExCom. NRC wouldn’t be part of the committee. Aaron will draft proposal. Related: Nicole will start doc for feedback for 2024 Nationals
  2. Jenny: Recommend having a separate chair for Women’s and Junior Nationals. Aaron recommends adding to bylaws. Jenny will draft recommendations for interaction with the NRC and PRO.
  3. Jenny: Proposed rotating Midwinters GB meeting from East to West every other year
  4. Diamonds: 6 broke at Nationals; unable to get replacements from GMW. Need to see if there’s a sourcing issue. Need to have a solution ASAP. Bob will talk to Doug at GMW to check on supply.
