| Suunto B116 Compass and Waterat Carbon Compass Mount
This was the gold standard compass and bracket in the 505 before they allowed digital compasses. I was contemplating installing it on my Thistle before I sold it. The bracket is custom-made for this compass and is all carbon built by Larry Tuttle. It would mount nicely to the back of the partner on the Thistle (mount is vertical as opposed to the horizontal mount of the big Plastimo). The compass has a 4.5" card. It's been sitting around unused for 7 years and thus needs to be refilled with fluid. The whole compass and mount weigh considerably less than my Plastimo 100, so a good choice if you want to lose weight. The cored carbon bracket was $400 new and the compass is $215. I'm asking $200 + shipping for both. I can send pictures. |
